On the last day training, I went to 1 Utama and did some shopping. Gotta buy some pants now that my old ones cannot serve their purpose anymore. How sad~
When CK finished his work, we went for dinner in Ajisen Ramen at the old wing of 1 Utama.
He had Chicken Teriyaki bento set, which portion is pathetically small for children, let alone adults!
Whereas I ordered Chicken Teriyaki Fried Rice. The portion is just nice for me, as I am on diet. For guys, you might need to order 2-3 portions.
Since Ning's mom asked us to purchase laptop for her, we have been obligingly searching the perfect one for her. Her requirement? Normal teenager's one, stylish and PURPLE in color.
We had been sourcing out Dell Studio 14 for her initially, and even placed an order online for her. But I am really disappointed with their service nowadays, they cancelled my order WITHOUT informing me (after I had been waiting for 1 week which was indicated in the mail of when I could receive the laptop).
Well..., of course, after no news from Dell, I checked on Dell website on the status of my order, and found out that my order had been cancelled. Imagine how surprised I was, since I had made full payment for it!!!
So I made phone call to their support and inquired about the problem. To my horror, I was transferred again and again from 1 department to another as they could not find out the reason. I needed to repeat my problems FIVE times (Goddamit, by then I really had lost my patience), with the last support woman put me on hold until my phone ran out of credit.
I was fuming over it when the so-called Sales Manager called me and explained that the reason of the cancellation was due to out-of-stock parts, therefore I had been given new order number.
I was angry enough to say "Forget about the order, just refund me", to which they agreed. But after a check 2 days later, my credit card still being charged and the order was still under process.
In order to avoid any other scene, I asked CK to call instead, and he got to connect to some high level manager this time who promised to settle the case immediately, and they refunded the charge.
After the whole saga, I refused to purchase anymore from Dell. Imagine this, I had bought a Dell for my Mom and myself. CK is using Dell laptop, his brother and sis-in-law are using Dell, and both of us had been recommending Dell to everybody that we know. Now? No more.., thanks to Dell.
Let's forget about the unpleasant saga. So after our dinner in Ajisen Ramen, we went down to a shop that we had been checking out for the Fujitsu laptop.
We found it quite a deal, since usually Fujitsu's products are quite on the high side of pricing.
After bargaining with the salesman, we finally purchased this Fujitsu L1010. Check out the baby here.
Purple color as per Ning's main requirement.
Stylish and just fits her, with Vista Home Basic, 2Gb RAM, 160Gb HDD, built-in webcam, DVD burner, Duo Core, etc...etc. And the cost? It's only RM2,599!! What a deal.
It came together with a free mouse, slip cover bag and laptop bag. :D And I actually kinda like their quick launch buttons here.
When we brought home and showed to Ning, she was simply shrieking with delight and kept on saying "I love it sooooo much. Thank you, Kim and Xiao Jiu".
I am so glad that I had made the right choice for her, well.., she owes me dinner for this! LOL.....
