Aloe Vera, known as "Lidah Buaya" in Indonesian and BM, has been known of its benefits for growing and moisturizing hair. Its gooey fluids might be intimidating for some people, but the particular substance is the best part of it. More information can be found here.
Since I think my baby hair is growing too slow, I started to apply aloe vera on her head since last 2 weeks ago. I am lucky that my MIL does possess green hand and that she grows aloe vera in her garden. :D
Not only applying on my baby's hair, I applied on mine as well, although I never have hair problem, but which woman will resist the opportunity to pamper themselves with something good that nature provide?
My MIL's aloe vera grows well and big, and I just need to cut off a leave for me to last 1 week for my gal. I even have excess to apply on my face as moisturizer. Yes, you read correctly, I apply it on my face, starting yesterday. MIL told me that aloe vera acts as a very good moisturizer, so I want to try it out. At least for a month, and let me tell you the result by then. I am not worried about side effects. Come on.., this is all natural, provided by mother nature, and known for its benefits, so what is there to be worried about?
The way to apply aloe vera as hair growing agent is:
1. Cut off a leave, clean it and cut off the spiked edges
2. Cut the leave into 10 cm length and half it when you need it
3. Rub the halved leave on to the head, make sure that your head is wet enough with the gooey liquid
4. Cover with shower cap, usually I cover for around 3-4 hours
5. Rinse off without shampoo
Your hair will smell a bit grassy, but I like the smell. Let's see how it can help with my gal's hair growth.
