Well..., we woke up feeling fresh despite the full activity from the previous day, and we woke up quite early, around 7.30 - 8am.
After a quick wash up, we went to hunt for breakfast. With no reference on what's famous in Cameron, we simply went into a nameless shop selling curry mee. I was initially very keen on the Hainanese noodle, so it was quite a disappointment when told "out of stock". So I settled with the curry mee instead.
Nothing to shout about our noodle, but there is one thing I want to highlight, it's the TEA! Yes..., I just do not understand why, but tea in cameron really tastes different, fresh and crisp and fragrant. I love it! Even though it's only a normal cup of milk tea.
After our breakfast, we checked out from our hotel to continue with our expedition (haha...).
First stop for the day was Cactus Valley. Entrance per person is RM4. We were quite skeptical about it at the beginning, since I thought what's so special about cactus.
Well, after touring around the cactus valley, only then I realized, RM4 is really a good price to help the owner to reduce the maintenance fee. It's such a HUGE compound with so many types of plants, from cactus to flower to garden.
It's simply beautiful. Below are some of the samples.
Hehehe..., this cactus looks quite weird
This one looks mean enough to eat anything
Now, dun play play, this really can eat anything! If only the attendance were not standing nearby, I would have tried to touch the plant despite the warning. :P
This plant says "Come near and be pricked" (But hor, the leave itself is soft)
Abused cactus
CK was wondering what would happen if he threw a cat on to the sea of cactus like this (chuckle)
Enough of cactus, let's start with flowers
Alleys of beautifully tended flowers
Oh.., I love it!
Perfect backdrop, if only I have known of this place, I would have insisted my pre-wedding picture to be taken here!
Done with Cactus Valley (which we spent almost 2 hours), we headed to the nearby strawberry farm (yippieee!)
Tomato in strawberry farm? Although same color, it's nothing near look like strawberry!
This ain't no strawberry!!!!
As I know it, strawberry supposed to be like this!
Heheheh.., relax....., those were all appetizers before the main!
I found it!
There are rows and rows of strawberries pots, you can pick yourself. If not wrong, costing RM25/kg for self picking. I didn't though, since I have bought the night before from pasar malam at RM15/kg. :D
These were what I was hunting for!!!! STRAWBERRY SUNDAE!!! Oooooh.., freshly cut strawberry with whipped cream, just what every woman would sacrifice for!!
Ahahha.., think you I would stop only by sundae? Think again!
Best part is the pricing!
Sigh.., already I am missing all those strawberries indulgence!
We went shopping afterward. No pics for our shopping, since I forgot to take pics. :P
The things that are worthy to buy from Cameron is the asparagus! We bought 4 bundles of big, fat asparagus at RM10! Imagine the price of it in KL, and I also doubt you can ever find fat asparagus here. I always checked out Tesco, it's small, thin and expensive.
Vegie in Cameron is not cheap, sometimes I found the vegie in KL cheaper. However, we did buy some vegie at discounted price, after bargaining, of course. (Tell ya, it's hard to bargain with the seller!)
We also bought the Cameron special corn (something like hybrid between corn and something). It was priced at RM10 for 4 corns. We bought 8 corns.
We also bought flowers. Roses in Cameron is very cheap. 1 bundle of 12 stalks cost RM5. Buy 2 bundles free 1. So RM10, and you got 3 bundles (36 stalks). :D
Also this cutie Chrysantemum, it's dried, those all costing RM5.
And some Cameron delicacies, it's still in my fridge.
We departed back to KL at around 1pm, and we still managed to stop by the Lata Iskandar again. I just love the waterfall!
Can't resist to have a dip again.
As well as some Ramli burger and soft drink to go with it. Some brilliant idea to cool up your drink, dip it into water too!!!
That concluded our 2 day trip to Cameron. We reached home around 4pm, bought the famous Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak from SS14 and practically gulped down everything in seconds. :D
Hope there are more trips to come for me to blog again.
Next I will blog about the strawberries that I bought! What a beautiful sight for sore eyes!
