Lovely and Terrible Weekend

Haiz.., seems like so much can happen within days..., no.., no.., make it hours!

Weekend started lovely with me, ck, and gal went to Genting. By Bus.... Well, the lil' gal has been requesting for so many times for bus rides, and every time she sees a bus, she will say "Bus.., Bus.., Mommy, I want bus". So we have made a pact with her, if she behaves well, then will bring her for a bus ride.

And Santa Daddy decided to grant her wish last Saturday, so off we went to Genting by bus. My boy was left at home, as he was quite feverish and we concluded that he is still not up for bus ride or long day out. Next time, we will bring him together once he is up to it.

Gal was soooo excited with the bus ride, that early morning when she wake up, the first thing she said "Mommy, bus... bus!". It's really very exciting when we can grant their simple wishes!

We went to 1 Utama at around 10.30pm, and once we reached there, the available bus was on 1.30pm and the return bus is on 6.00pm. Well.., the journey from 1 Utama -> Genting Skyway will take 1 hour, the skyway ride to Genting itself will take another 30 mins (if you are lucky, there won't be long queue. If not, please queue for 2 hours). Hence we were quite nervous with the timing as it seemed too short.

We were lucky to be able to board the bus by 12.30pm, heheh! As obviously, some people cancelled their trip and we were able to get a seat! And again, we were lucky the queue for the skyway was not long, around 10-15 mins when we boarded the gondola, and from there smooth journey. Reached Genting by 2pm.

As we have been to Genting recently, there was not much changes, so we just had our lunch and a little stroll.

Decided to go Chin Swee Temple again, as there is a free shuttle bus. But luck went aborted us from there on.

We went there by shuttle bus at 4pm, and reaching 4.15pm. The next shuttle bus is 5.15pm, which will mean to reach Highland hotel by 5.30pm. With all the queueing and skyway ride, we won't be able to catch our bus!!!

We thought of going back to the Highland Hotel (to catch our skyway), with the Chin Swee Temple Skyway ride (as they do have a station there). A check on it, and it was closed (S@#$@#%$#, how could they do not have any annoucement and left us stranded there). Actually it's not only us that are stranded, I saw several tourists there
asking how to go back to the Highland Hotel (well..., I did tell them they could board the shuttle bus later on if they were not rushing for time).

Oh yes, no taxi there, you will need to call for them to come, and as expected, they are charging exorbitant rate. For a 15-mins drive from Highland Hotel -> Chin Swee Temple, they are charging RM40, since according to them, they will need to come empty just to pick us up back! But RM40??? Is this extortion or what?

Sigh..., but we have no other options, and those leeches know that, so we requested to drive us to the Bus station instead of going back to Highland Hotel, they charge the same price anyway. So we decided to forgo the skyway ride from Highland Hotel -> Bus station (Awana). And as expected, we reached quite early and still have enough time for us to do some shopping. :)

Reached home around 8pm, tired yet happy to be able to fulfill our lil' gal's wish. After showering and dinner, ck + 2 babies went to sleep peacefully. However, I couldn't, and from there the terrible weekend begins. It will be in another post. I just do not like to mix happiness with sadness together. :D
