CK asked his sister in JB to purchase Kampung Chicken (chicken that feed on the ground). She purchased 10 chicken, slaughtered and cleaned it. Really kind of embarrassed to bother her like this. Worst is she refused payment, how can I ask her to purchase again??
Last Saturday, CK prepared the homemade Chicken Essence for me. So sweet of him. For those who would like to know how to prepare, below are the steps.
First of all, clean the chicken, throw the skin and fats (kampung chicken hardly has any fats, anyway). Chop off the head and half it.
Next is to rub little bit of salt all over the chicken.
Prepare the herbs you would like to add, like American Ginseng or any type of herbs. In mine, I use little bit of American Ginseng.
Prepare a big Claypot. This is how my MIL's treasured 20-over-years claypot looks like.
Put the herbs at the bottom of it and covered with an upside down small bowl. *Forgot to take this pic as hands were dirty with the chicken*
Afterward, put the chicken on top of the upside down bowl, like this.
Cover the claypot, put it inside another pot filled with filtered water. Cover the pot and steamed with slow fire for 2-3 hours.
After steaming, removed the chicken from the claypot.
Remove the upside down bowl, do you see the golden color liquid?
Transfer it to another bowl, and the Homemade Chicken Essence is ready to be savoured!
As for the chicken meat? CK ate it, hehehe..., so the good part I savoured and he ate the left over. Poor CK.

How often you have chicken soup ? Any other food that good for baby?
Once a week for the chicken essence. I consider any food are good for baby as long as consumed in moderation.
Are you expecting?
